ITW, In the Word, is a one-man company, but with a
big God and a very supportive wife and church; designing software that helps
people get into the Word of God, and get the Word of God into them.
Background/History
Starting in 1994, while attending Bible College in preparation for the
ministry, I worked as an Awana Commander of a small church in
Pennsylvania. Awana
is a fabulous organization which runs Bible clubs in churches, whose primary
focus is Bible Memorization. Because ours was such a small club, I was
priveledged to work directly with the kids alot, especially those who had a
harder time Memorizing Scripture.
As such, I developed and adopted some techniques that
helped the kids memorize Scripture, and having a computer background, decided
to put my skills to work in developing a computer program that would do just
that. Thus came
Memory Man, the Scripture Memory Aid. The
first version was really only for Awana Kids, but I quickly discovered that
others wanted to use it too, so over the years I've made it more useable
outside of an Awana platform, but still very useable for Awana kids and
parents.
